Holy crap.
I spent some time on Sage's web site today researching a future post about The Ultimate Smallmouth Weapon System. And this brook trout, well, it caught my attention.
I feel like a dork posting it immediately after a picture of MY brook trout, but it had to be done.
From the Sage site: Jeff Turner's otherworldly Native Brook Trout - Le Greve River in the Ungava Bay Region of Northern Quebec - landed on a #4 SLT and released after photos were taken.

I spoke with a customer at the Fly shop that visits a lodge up yonder every year. He claims they land 40 5to8lb brookies a day, but that's a monster! Too bad it probably died from having it's gill plates manhandled.
Isn't it amazing how roughly fish are handled on fishing TV shows?? "Look at that pretty fish. Just look at him. Hold him up here so we can get a better.... that's it. Pretty fish........ Yup, that's a good lookin' fish there, did you see that?.........................................
Um, could you please put it back in the water?
