More Living Vicariously

This time through my friend Joel, who caught this beautiful steelhead on the Trinity River in Northern California. It was caught on a double beaded golden stone fly. Thanks for sharing, Joel! Bastard.

Ed I have to get my fix somehow! Right now as I look at the temperature outside and it reads -4 and I am heading to the ranch where it is -17 the means a WHOLE LOT of ice on the river! Thankfully I have good connections so I don't start having the DT'S!

Holy crap. Do thermometers even WORK at -17?? That's not even safe! Be careful out there...

Oh the thermometers work. You almost wish they didn't! Sometimes cold is as much mental as it is physical. You will be happy to know that I resisted the temptation to stick my tongue against anything metal!
